Oil abstract impasto paintings
Black & white series
I’m calling this my black & white series even though there’s an occasional red or some other color thrown in to spice it up a little. Black & white still dominate the canvas, so I’m sticking with the title.
I painted these with palette knives, and oil paint a couple years ago. I sold the first half of the series..before I called it a series, and made more – these. Then life got busy, and I never got around to listing any of the new ones. Well, here they are finally seeing the light of day. Laaa!
I think there are 12 of these minis on canvas altogether. 3 of them (not pictured) needed a bit of something, so I added more paint, and I’m waiting for them to dry. No 6 in the photo above sold last week. If you’re interested, you can find them on Etsy.

Artists I’m admiring: Peter Wileman‘s abstract paintings. His work reminds me of ice, and still clear water. So beautiful. I’ve probably shared his link here before. I can’t seem to get enough.
Susan Simonini – I absolutely adore her work. I’m not going to be happy until I own one of her pieces. 😉
