Please Don’t Pee Pee on Me, Man

This book is a blast from the past. I made it back in 2007ish, and I’m now using it for my morning warm up pages. It’s filled with construction paper, which I didn’t think I’d like, but it turns out I LOVE painting on it. I love it so much that when I’ve worked my way through all 3 of these books, I’ll be making more of these little books to use.

Btw, the saying isn’t mine. It came from quote in a video that Suzi Blu made long ago, and I sent her one of these little books as a gift to thank her for the inspiration.

I love the different colored backgrounds you get when working on construction paper, especially the ones I consider my colors.

My brain likes to have everything in super tidy order with all my ducks in a row, but there’s another side to me that thrives on mess, disorder, and chaos when it comes to art. The part of my brain that likes to keep everything organized and well planned out usually wins, which can make life a bit boring.

So, to mess with myself a bit, I decided to randomly pick a page to paint on each day, and not have the book in chronological order by date.

Arrrghhh..it’s driving me insane to flip through the book, and see all these pages dated, but not in order. lol Take that, brain!! You’re not the boss of me now. ha ha!!

Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was spent with family..getting to see one of my grandsons, and making yummy food to fill empty bellies were the big highlights. Aww..it went by all too quickly, and now it’s Monday, and I’m hitting the ground running today. I have some custom orders to work on, so it will be a busy week.
