plugging back in – Katie Jeanne Wood

I feel like I’m sleepwalking my way through this 365 day painting project. Zzzzz. I didn’t mean for it to happen. I tried to keep it fun, and exciting, but lately I’ve been pretty bored with daily painting.

This project has become as routine as brushing my teeth, and how excited do you get when you brush your teeth? Not very, right? HO HUM. I’ve pretty much been phoning it in for the past 3 or 4 months. Checked out, coasting, and glassy-eyed, I feel shitty for not doing as much as I shoulda coulda. Someone throw a bucket of water, and wake me up, please!

I think the only way for me to plug back in is to step up my blogging game a bit. I’m not saying I’m going to blog every day (I’m not), but I’m aiming for a couple more days a week for the month of May. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m going to be listening to this over the next few days to give myself a good kick in the pants.
