Beginning of The Dream
PRINTS
I just slid into the 7th month of my daily painting practice, so I thought I’d write a quick update about what the first 6 months has been like. Other than experiencing exhaustion after painting 66 abstract paintings in one weekend, the painting part is going extremely well for me. Ah, man..that weekend was rough to say the least. I’m still trying to recover. Painting every day is a piece of cake compared to that. lol

I haven’t had a problem with artist block or getting myself into the studio during the past 6 months. I knew when I painted for 365 days in 2017 that keeping track of my progress was the most difficult part of the challenge for me, and that hasn’t changed. I have a HUGE backlog of photos to go through.

So, no big discoveries lately. This is all stuff I already knew..my strengths and weaknesses haven’t changed over time, which is fine because I wasn’t looking to change. My goal for painting daily this time around is to paint every day – nothing more. I’m happy with the results I’m getting – hundreds of paintings and art journal pages have been created, and that’s all that matters to me. Here’s to month 7! I’m ready, let’s go!
