Hush Hush
Acrylic abstract painting
Available here
This is a personal abstract piece, which I recently painted. I stepped up my meditating practice this year, and sometimes use “Hush Hush” as my mantra. It’s soothing and relaxing to me when I draw the words out as long as possible with each in and out breath. Kinda like Kevin MacLeod’s song Hush, minus the creepy.
While creating this painting, I reflected back on the year, and thought about what I’ve learned. For me, 2019 has been all about spiritual growth, self awareness, being open to change – within myself and others, making new discoveries, meeting new people, putting myself out there in surprising ways, focussing my energy on love, patience, positivity, and kindness, setting boundaries, and letting go of that which doesn’t serve me well.
I wish the texture and layers could come through more in the photos. You’ll have to take my word on it, I guess.
Now some other abstract paintings that I’ve created throughout the year..

There is no abstract art.
You must always start with something.
Afterward you can remove all traces of reality.
— Pablo Picasso
It is often my nature to be abstract,
hidden in plain sight,
or nowhere at all.

Next I’ll have to go through my portraits, birds, and floral paintings, and pick my favs from 2019. Should be fun.
