Aaah, summer – that long anticipated stretch of lazy, lingering days, free of responsibility and rife with possibility. It’s a time to hunt for insects, master handstands, practice swimming strokes, conquer trees, explore nooks and crannies, and make new friends.

Kids have been back at school for a week or so here. I’m not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet, are you? The season seemed so short this year, even with all the endless 100F+ days we had. I’m hoping the warmth lingers on for at least a couple more months, but in case it doesn’t, I hang paintings on the wall like this one to keep summer alive year round.
