Linking to, and wishing a happy birthday to PPF.
What I’ve been watching while drawing lately:
On the Road – This has been in my queue for several months, and I’ve been looking forward to watching it. Hate to say it, but it was a huge BUST. Didn’t like it. Couldn’t get into it, so I shut it off. If you watched it, and loved it, let me know if I should go back, and watch the rest. Maybe it gets better? I thought it was a giant snoozefest.
Fred Armisen Standup for Drummers – I play drums. Well, I did long ago, in my past life. I also played piano, clarinet, and a little guitar. Way back in the day, I also learned alto sax. I haven’t played music much since painting took over my life. I gave away my electric keyboard a few years ago to a foreign exchange student here in town, but I still keep some drums around just in case I ever get back to it. Drums and piano were always my favorite. Therefore, I wanted to like this show, but it was another one I turned off about 15 minutes into it. It wasn’t funny, imo.
Chris D’Elia Incorrigible – watched it..liked it.
Blurred Lines: Inside the Art world – Such a pretentious bore this one was. Zzzzzzzz. I watched about 1/2 of it, and shut it off. Yawn. I’ve got better things to do with my time.
The End of the Fxxxing World – Okay, now you’re talking my language, which I’m not sure what that says about me. lol I put my art journal away, and gave this one my full attention. It reminded me a bit of Harold & Maude. Not my cats, but the cult film from the 70s. I binged the entire season in one sitting. The episodes are only 20 – 25 minutes long, which is perfect for someone like me with a short attention span.
Imposters – I got totally sucked into this storyline, also, and quickly found out it was one that needed my complete attention. It moves fast with lots of twists and turns. Can’t wait for season 2.
