We went from a week of being chilly (had to turn the heat back on) & stormy to almost 100F yesterday, and so I’m reposting this large abstract painting I titled Melting Cotton Candy Ice Cream.
I painted it last year when we were experiencing day after day of over 100F bright sunny weather, if I remember correctly. I was melting, and so was the “ice cream” colored paint.
Written in pencil on the lower part of the painting
is part of the Metta Sutta from the Tipitaka.
This is what should be done
By one who is skilled in goodness,
And who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright,
Straightforward and gentle in speech.
Humble and not conceited,
Contented and easily satisfied.
