Oil pastel portrait drawing
This is one of the earlier drawings I did when I first started using oil pastels at the beginning of May. I’m not blogging these drawings in any order because I don’t want to keep track like that. It would just add another layer of work, and I’m craving less work these days, not more.
Note to self: draw more zombie eyed portraits in the future.
They’re quite fun. 🙂
Scanning, photographing, editing photos in Photoshop, writing blog posts, listing here, eBay, and Etsy. It’s A LOT of work. One drawing or painting can take several hours, especially if I have to edit a high resolution image for prints.
I’ve stopped drawing every night to give my “office worker self” time to catch up with my “art creating self”. I have stacks of drawings & paintings that are piling up on the office side of things. I work on getting them online daily, but it takes forever to do the computer end of things.
Available here
I’m starting to see the end of one stack that’s been sitting on my scanner for weeks now – thanks to taking a break from blogging this week. Writing blog posts is a time sink for me, which is why I like posting on Twitter. It’s quicker, easier, and way less time consuming. I post often there, so you should follow me. 🙂 If you’re posting art or photography related things, I want to know, so I can follow you, also.
If you want to check out my new paintings, I’ve been listing them here, and also on Etsy & eBay. PLUS, I’m having a huge 25 to 50% off sale in my Etsy shop.
I hope you have a lovely creative day, and weekend. If you like this blog post, please share it using the buttons below.
