There are two great painting challenges going on this month. 30 Paintings in 30 Days on Leslie Saeta’s blog, Slices of Life and Ayala Art‘s 29 Faces Challenge. I’ll be posting to both challenges, and here on my blog every day.
I’ll be (loosely) using photobooth photos that I find online for my reference photos for these challenges. The series that I’m working on is called Collaged Photobooth Portraits. I hope to have 30 completed by the end of the month. Crossing fingers!
I made it two days over the halfway mark. Woohoo!! It’s all easy peasy from here on out, right? Actually, I’m finding this challenge really easy. I shouldn’t say that, since I know others are struggling. I don’t have a lot of life stuff going on, tho. Nothing. Nada. Life is pretty easy at the moment, for which I’m very grateful. No drama being created by anyone, and I’m stress free. I’m able to paint all I like.
I’m a few days ahead of schedule, and I really like that. I’ve done challenges like this before, and I was dragging myself in to blog after painting all day, and snapping a quick blurry picture. I knew I didn’t want that happening on this challenge. So, I painted ahead, meaning I got several paintings done in one day. That way I can schedule my blogs a few days ahead of time, and that really takes the pressure off me. I’m not a blog in the moment kind of gal, I’m just not. So, I can relax, and glide on through this challenge. 🙂 I’m still doing all the work, believe me. ha ha
I’ve noticed my comments have dwindled down, and I wonder how many of you are still in the game? hm..I’ll have to take a look around or leave me a comment here, and let me know how you’re doing.
