I keep thinking I should go back in and change the blue in these flowers to something lighter and brighter. I haven’t had a chance to do it, so I’m going to put it out there the way it is. Maybe I’ll change it some day. Maybe I won’t. For now, I’m too busy moving forward to look backwards.
Whenever I post this art journal page on social media, and I have a few times now, people always assume I’m the one needing sleep. It doesn’t occur to them that the man in the painting might be the one needing sleep. I guess that’s what’s mysterious about artists, huh? The viewer is always trying to figure out if the artist is revealing something personal or simply making up a story. In this case, most think it’s a personal story. I’ll let you decide. 😉
In other news, what happened to Fall??? The wind chill is 3F today, and 4F tomorrow. It’s gray, windy, and brrrr. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. It is November after all. Sometimes, it’s still 80F this time of year, and sometimes not! Another mystery never to be solved.
Okay, forget the cold, e a r t h q u a k e!! Crazy 4.8 earthquake at about 3:30pm this afternoon. It felt like a giant monster was underneath me, lifting up the floor. My monitor shook like crazy, and it sounded like a freight train was coming through the house. Sweet Pea ran in, and jumped up on me, and then tried to climb up the side of my face, and sit on my head. lol I stayed very calm through it all, probably because it all happened so fast. It was over in about 30 seconds, but Sweet Pea laid on me for the next 2 hours, without moving. It really shook her up, but now she’s off to do kitty type things, earthquake is forgotten, I think. It’s time for me to go downstairs, and see if there’s any damage.
