Icy windows
The past two weeks have been brutally cold. Last week was far too cold to work. All I could do was put on layers of clothes, wrap myself up in blankets, and wait it out.
-30F caused my pipes to freeze, and bust. It sounded like a river was flowing under my house. :/ Had to have the city come out to shut the water off completely. I dread seeing my water, power & gas bill this month. Natural gas went from $3 something a gallon to over $300 a gallon in some areas close by. !!! The gas & power companies keep telling us to wait and see how much the bills will be. I’d rather they were upfront about it, so we’d all know what to expect. Sheesh.
Having no water for a week was rough, especially with animals, but we were lucky to get a plumber fairly quickly. Really really grateful for that.
I heard the wait for a plumber in TX is 6 weeks, and boy, my heart goes out to them. I can’t imagine how people down there are dealing with the long wait, especially since most are/were without power, also. :/
The temps are rising to the mid to high 60s for the next couple days, and I’m more than ready for it to warm up. The snow is gone, and there’s green grass poking through the brown. I knew I’d be mowing the damn lawn soon. lol

The clearance sale is still ongoing in my Etsy shop. Some paintings have been marked down 75%. I’m trying to make room for the new paintings coming this year. I’m adding more paintings daily.
