Loose abstract portrait painting
in my art journal
In order to figure this artmaking stuff out, it’s trial and error and experimentation, and takes some time and hard thinking. Putting work out in many forms and stages is an extension of how I see things.
Jim Goldberg
I don’t relate to the “hard thinking” part of the quote. I tend to shut my brain off when I’m painting. I’m usually listening to something on YT or a podcast, so I’m thinking about what I’m hearing instead of thinking about what I’m doing.
I shared links below of what I’ve been listening to/watching lately. I hope you check them out.
Last chance to get a deal on my original paintings in my eBay store. These paintings are marked down 30%. I have no idea when I’ll have another sale, so don’t miss out. Sale ends at midnight tonight, so you’ll have to hurry.

I just found Scott this morning on YT. I’m not sure why I haven’t run across him or his work before. He has livestreams every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning at 9am central.

I’m currently on hiatus from creating new work to sell, but there are plenty of paintings in my shop for sale. Shipping is free within the USA, if you purchase art directly from me. I also sell originals & prints on eBay and Etsy.
As always, if you want to say hello or have any questions you can write me here. I love getting email, and hearing from you.
