Using watercolors and acrylic paint in my art journal

I cleaned my studio this week, and this is what my new filming area looks like. The table used to be against the wall, and the tripod sat in front of the window. The tripod was always in the way, and it drove me crazy moving it all the time. When the camera’s plugged in, and lights are on it, it’s not so easy to move. I was tripping over cords and trying not to smash my camera into stuff. Things had to change. So, now it’s somewhat stationary, and not in the way.

I don’t know if I’ve posted a photo of the tripod arm I bought a couple months ago. I know I wrote about getting it, here, but don’t think I’ve showed it in use. I must say, I love it! If your camera doesn’t have a swing out type of lcd window, like mine, the arm is so important. I can see what I’m painting if I stand up, so I position the camera, turn on the camera, and paint. Really easy.

I did the underpainting with watercolors, let it dry, and then finished up with acrylics.
