What does museum quality splined canvas mean?

I’ve been painting 20 years now, so it’s easy for me to throw around artist jargon without giving it any thought. Please don’t be afraid to ask if you ever need more info or don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m always more than happy to explain in more detail, if I can. So, in case you don’t know what “museum quality splined canvas” means when you see me write it here or in my listings, this is an example..

Splined means the canvas has extra wood around the back,
giving it a cleaner, nicer look than cheaper canvas. 
It’s high quality,
heavy duty,
expensive canvas.

Someone asked me about having a print sale the other day. I’ve never had a sale on prints (that I can remember) because my prints are made to order. It’s not like I have stacks lying around, taking up space, like I do original paintings (hence the huge clearance sale on originals).

Plus, I order prints from a professional printing service, and I’d be losing money because I have to pay full price for them. I don’t get a discount no matter how many I buy. The only discount I offer is free shipping if you purchase more than $35 (of anything in my shop, not just prints). I still have to pay for shipping from the printer, but you don’t, so I consider that a deal.

I watched this video on yt last night, which led me to this movie on Netflix that I wanted to tell you about. It’s pretty cute, and I enjoyed watching it. If you have teens or maybe pre-teens, they will love it.

I want to paint the actress in the movie..Lana Condor. She’s so pretty, but I’m on a hiatus from painting until at least January 2021..maybe longer? I need to concentrate on selling paintings to make room for more first. BUT..we’ll see if I end up pulling out my art journals soon. I never said I was on hiatus from art journaling, and it’s been a couple months since I’ve played in them. Maybe today is the day? We’ll see.
