Until I started painting this flower series a couple weeks ago, I had an awful time painting shadows. I’m not good at shadows on faces for some reason, always came out looking like dark blobs to me. I started working on improving my skills, and now it’s my favorite thing to paint. The shadow, the shadow within the shadow, and the glass are all fun…and the background. Oh, heck..I love painting everything in this flower series. I don’t want to stop, ever.

It got cool, but now it’s hot again. Soon to be cool again after tomorrow, so it’s all good. I’m tired, if you can’t tell. It’s late, and it’s bedtime. Night, night. zzz
