Who Do You Think You Are?
Oil portrait painting
Daily painting: 365 day art project
Day 51
PRINTS
As I said yesterday, I’m in the process of moving my studio. Goodbye old friend. You and I had such great times together. Sniffy sniff. Ah, it’s okay..it was actually all my idea. lol I’ve given up possession of the room in favor of my husband having an office, which means we regain a dining room downstairs.
Our dining room currently is my husband’s office/cat toy hub and diner/former dog lounge. We gave our dining room table to the cats, I think I’ve mentioned that before..it’s because Big Red Fred LOVED cat food, but it didn’t love him back. We had to find a way to keep their dry food up off the floor, and out of his reach.
Big Red is no longer with us, so I’ve transitioned the cat bowls to the kitchen floor. Now that husband’s moving his desk and whatnot upstairs, we’ll actually have a place to enjoy meals now. Haven’t eaten at a table together in..oh, probably 5 years, except for Thanksgiving. I usually take my food to my computer upstairs to eat. This means no more working while I dine. I’m so looking forward to that!!
Now that I won’t have a studio anymore I’m going to quit painting. It’s okay, I never really liked it anyway.
Can anyone spot the lie in this post? haha
My office, which is quite large, will now be my office/studio. I’ll still have my shipping room out in the hallway/landing for packaging up paintings, and my old studio across the hall will soon be my husband’s office/spare bedroom. First we must paint the (paint splattered) ceiling, walls, and sand and refinish the floor, and by “we”, I mean my husband’s doing all the work. I would love to help, but I’ll be too busy setting up my studio in its new location. 😀
I don’t expect this move to cause much disruption in my work. I already have my primary painting table set up, so the 365 day art project will continue without a pause.
This painting is finished, and will be available in my various online shops once it dries. You can contact me if you want to reserve it.
