You Always Have Love
I thought the colors in this old art journal
page resemble the sky pic above,
and I ran this photo last week by accident.
New minty green I mixed
already tainted with pink
Wow! Is this book ever HUGE,
HEAVY, and expensive!!
I think it took me an hour just to read 3 pages, and
with over 800 pages it’s gonna take a while.
After seeing the price of this hardcover on Amazon, I want to gently tiptoe this book back to the library, and buy the kindle version. I can’t handle the responsibility of having this book in my possession. I’m never going to read it in the required amount of time, anyway, and it would be just my luck that Chewy will mark his territory on it if I leave it lying around. It probably has other animal smells on it from being in a million homes over the years, and Chewy will definitely need to fix that problem. Oy!
Speaking of Andy Warhol, did you see this? Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Boyhood Home, New York Studio, and Unseen Artworks in a Blockbuster Show Curated by His Family. Um..with all due respect, I love Jean-Michel’s work, but imo, the background walls look hideous, and take away from his art. Maybe I’m completely missing something, and the wall coloring has something to do with his past? I hope so.
When you finally let go of the past, something better comes along.

Artists I’ve been admiring lately: Paula Modersohn-Becker – Paula Modersohn-Becker was a German painter and one of the most important representatives of early expressionism. Her career was cut short when she died from postpartum embolism at the age of 31. – Source
UK sculptor Heather Jansch – she made amazing art made out of driftwood

Finished reading: Divergent Mind: Thriving in a World That Wasn’t Designed for You – I listened to parts of this one several times. It’s an awesome book if you’re interested in neurodivergences or how the brain works to process information. I find this kind of stuff absolutely fascinating, and the more I learn about it, the more I want to keep reading books like this.
