These pages were created with acrylic paint, oil pastels, pencils, markers, and whatever else I had within my reach.
For now, my paint palette is limited to a few colors. Why? Idk? My goal is to torture myself use up some old acrylic paint before it dries up, and I wanted to make it more challenging, I guess?
It’s already difficult for me because I don’t like acrylic paint. Why I’m making it harder on myself, I have no idea. I’ll most likely swap out colors this week because I’m a little bored now. We’ll see.
For paint colors I didn’t have in front of me, I substituted oil pastels & tempera color stix.
When I made these journals, I made one for portraits, and one for abstracts. I thought I’d use the abstract one more, but so far, I’ve been reaching for the portrait book just about every day.
Let your work speak for itself: If poor, it will remain silent. If average, it will whisper. If good, it will talk. If great, it will shout.
