The timing isn’t right
I used watered down gel medium as my glue to add these white paint chips to the page.
I didn’t think this would actually work. The paint chips are heavy, and the gel medium was too watery. I left it to dry on top of the fridge overnight. It’s warm up there, and when I checked it the next morning. The pieces stuck.
The paint chips definitely add more interest to this abstract piece. Not sure if it’s finished yet, but I like it!
I wish I could say I’m almost finished with this art journal, but I’m not even close. I made it back in September, and I think I’ve only finished maybe 4 or 5 pages in it so far. I thought I would be using this little journal constantly, and I’d fill it in less than a month. I had good intentions, but nope. Didn’t happen that way.
Ah, well. Sometimes I start things, but the timing isn’t right. Working on other series is higher on my list of priorities. I’ll get back to it when I can. I’m not going to sweat it.
The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time.
